The Wild Redwood Clean Up.

On Thursday the 13 of December, Room 4 went to the redwoods to clean up. we moved branches, cleaned up the creek we even got to have free food, but it all started with a blink of an eye.
Zoe and I went to get the whistles as we are the platoon leaders then we got into our cars. We got there and walked up and had a safety briefing then got started cleaning and then the caters started making the buns. (p.s. they were delicious.)
 Next time maybe we could walk faster up the track.

holiday

In the holidays I went up to taupo and we went to the debrets. We went down the racing slides and I obviously won. Then we went to lincraft to get a few things, We had to go to the warehouse to get stuff from there but then we had to get a life jacket for the boat. 

Science with Trish

Something that I learned with  Trish on Tuesday was that nappy's grow when you put water on the top side and then the inside would turn all smooshy and like snow. 

Science Roadshow.

On Tuesday Room 4 and room 26 went to Hastings intermediate for the science roadshow. I learnt that if you put a rolling pin on two poles going outwards at the top it will roll down the poles and there is another rolling thing that if you put it at the bottom it will roll up the poles. The exhibit I liked the best was dioxide mirror because when you closed there would be more small mirrors. 

MTG trip

Last Thursday room 4 went to the mtg in Napier because this term our inquiry is about earthquakes.
We learnt to green screen.
I enjoyed the green screen because I had never done a green screen before.
I discovered someone's passports and door handle.
WE also got to dress up for the green screen
it was the funniest day of my life. 

Calendar art

this is my calendar art.It is a drawing of waipatiki  campground. we had to  draw a picture of something that is special to you, and then you had cut it out so that it looked like an earthquake. Here is picture of it.
   

Ink Art.

This is my ink art that I my made last week we used: Indian ink, string and two pieces of paper.We used our literacy books then put two pieces of paper on each page then dunked the string into the ink, then curled it around on the paper closed the book then pulled the string out carefully.
